Only seven books reached this level of the prestigious competition, presented by American Book Fest.

We have some wonderful news to share. Lucky Lyn-Lyn’s Big Idea, written by Lyn Lozano Galicia and part of the Lucky Lyn-Lyn’s children’s book series, has been named a Finalist in the Children’s Educational category of the 2026 Best Book Awards.

Presented by American Book Fest, the Best Book Awards is now in its 23rd year. Only seven books reached this level, which makes the recognition especially meaningful for Lucky Lyn-Lyn and her growing community of readers.

A Celebrated Competition

Over its history, the Best Book Awards has become a respected platform for self-published and independent authors and publishers. Many past honorees have used their awards to build credibility and reach new audiences in a crowded book market. For Lucky Lyn-Lyn’s Big Idea, published by Alaya Books for Children, this honor is a milestone for the book and for the series as a whole.

Inspiring Young Readers

At the heart of the Lucky Lyn-Lyn’s series is a simple belief: big ideas can come from anywhere, even from the youngest minds. Being recognized in the Children’s Educational category affirms the book’s goal of teaching, encouraging, and sparking curiosity in young readers.

Words of Thanks

“I’m honored and grateful,” says author Lyn Lozano Galicia. “This recognition belongs to everyone who has welcomed Lucky Lyn-Lyn into their homes and classrooms, including the parents, teachers, librarians, and young readers who make this series possible.”
